Kool Savas

Savas Yurderi (born 10 February 1975) also known as Kool Savas (or as well King Kool Savas), is a German rapper and hip hop artist. Savas is usually known as “King of Rap” or “King of German Rap”.
“Savaş” is the Turkish word which means “war”.
Born in Aachen, Germany to a German mother and a Turkish father, Savas’ family moved back to Turkey when he was one year old. His father, who is from Çorum, Turkey, was arrested because of his political posture against the government in Turkey, and as a result of his father’s arrest, his mother was forced to return to Aachen with Savas.By 1987, his father was released and the entire family was reunited and relocated to Berlin. It was in Berlin where Savas first came across Hip Hop music.

Savas lived with his girlfriend, Melbeatz, in Berlin for an extended amount of time. As a result, the majority of Savas’ beats were produced by her. Although Savas and his girlfriend are no longer together, they remain close friends.
Although Savas is popularly called a “Berlin rapper,” he resides in Heidelberg. He is also a vegetarian.

Savas started his rap career with the EP Warum rappst du, containing rather provocative lyrics in songs such as “L.M.S.”, “Schwule Rapper” and “Pimplegionär”. He first started under the name Juks and rapped mostly in English. He became successful through the groups Masters of Rap (M.O.R.) and Westberlin Maskulin.
In 2001, he and all of M.O.R. left former label Put Da Needle To Da Records, because of personal and artistic differences. They released a diss track against former label CEO Peter Sreckovic titled “Track gegen Peter” where Savas gave reason for his exit.
Beginning in 2002, he founded his own label, Optik Records, where he released his first solo album titled Der beste Tag meines Lebens, for which he won a Comet award. For the album, Savas worked together with several domestic and foreign musicians including Azad, Samy Deluxe, Kurupt, 40 Glocc, Dem Franchize Boyz, Lumidee, RZA, Moses Pelham, J-Luv, Bligg, Jadakiss, Royce da 5’9″, Xavier Naidoo, Mobb Deep, Ying Yang Twins and Illmatic. The album sold over 90,000 copies worldwide.
With his record label, Savas tried to build up other artists. He discovered Eko Fresh and signed many upcoming artists such as DJ Nicon, Melbeatz, Ercandize, Caput, Amar, Sinan and Moe Mitchell.
In 2004, Savas released his first mixtape, “Kool Savas goes Hollywood” which was later made available as free online download.
Since early 2005, Savas has been supporting the efforts of his younger brother Sinan, his cousin Dimi and his brother-in-law Igor in their blooming rap careers.
In 2005, he released his mixtape titled “Die John Bello Story”. It was the most successful mixtape in Europe in 2005 and also Savas’ best to date at over 60,000 sold copies. In the same year he produced the album “One”, together with Azad. The hit single “All 4 One” peaked at 4 in the German Top 100 Singles.
In 2006, Savas released the label sampler “Optik Takeover”, a collaboration with several other artists signed to Optik Records. Also in 2006, he released an album with Optik Schweiz, the Swiss counterpart of Optik Records, titled “Wer Hatz Erfunden”.
His second solo album, Tot oder Lebendig (eng. Dead or Alive), was released in 2007 and proved to be successful at 50,000 sold copies.

Savas released the sequel mixtape “Die John Bello Story 2″ in 2008. He then went on to release an updated version labeled the “Brainwash Edition”.
In 2009, he released the EP “Was hat S.A.V da vor” with the Hip Hop Magazine Juice. The same year saw the release of a collaboration album with Optik Russia which was called “New Russian Standard”.
On March 12, 2010, Savas released “Die John Bello Story 3″ which sold roughly 50,000 copies. The album featured fellow rappers Azad, Curse, Ying Yang Twins, Olli Banjo, Ercandize, Moe Mitchell, Amar, Franky Kubrick, Kaas, Mo Trip, Sinan, Tua, Vega, Kitty Kat, Laas Unltd. and more.
His 2011 album Aura included a single with the same name and a song featuring rapper Xavier Naidoo, titled LMS 2012.

Fu is unusual character from Polish hip-hop  , which certainly needs no introduction to fans. With hip-hop scene is bound for 13 years. He is a member among other legendary Zip composition, Zipery and many other respected in our country and beyond, teams. Fu for the first time could be heard as early as 1998 on the album DJ 600V “Production of Hip Hop”. Since that time, has already recorded 11 studio albums, of which 6 are his solo albums.At that time, even though such hits as “Paradox”, “Distance”, “Are you sure”, “Rapid realities,” “Rap $ $ cons”, “Uda’h Uda’h” feat Jamal or derived from “flashbacks” published in 2009 “Exclusive knockout” featuring WWO and “Enough” featuring Wozza (Afromental).
In May 2010 effort STRAIGHT Label released mixtape Fu & DjElement “Project 30″ which is promoted by the song “Hidden Whisper.” In 2011, she married long 0czekiwana by fans of Fu 6 solo album Fu entitled “De Facto” was released with the best record label STRAIGHT . the album’s lead single is titled “De Facto” and “permanent intoxication” and “Do not deny Me” feat Chada Brahu.

The rapper has long been closely connected with Warsaw’s hip-hop scene, which is characterized by severe, sometimes even hardcore sound. It certainly had a great influence on his work, but it does not overwhelm. Fu is an artist very versatile and can be easily felt in his music. In addition to classic hip-hop bits for the CD you can hear the reggae flavors or dancehall’owe. Primers for the rapper made up of producers such as with Polish, Germany, Ireland or Great Britain.

Caparezza

Caparezza -Michele went back to Molfetta thinking of quitting music, but shortly after he decided to make a new fresh start, and started composing music in his garage while he stopped cutting his hair and beard. Salvemini changed his pseudonym from Mikimix to Caparezza (“Curly Head” in Apulian dialect) and in 2000 published his first album, ?!, in which he disowns and nearly rejects his ‘Mikimix’ past, because he considered himself at the time inconsistent and poor compared to his present self. His second album, Verità Supposte, Supposed truths (note that in Italian supposte is used both for supposed and suppository), led him to success in 2003-2004. His third album, Habemus Capa (is a pun on the habemus papam statement which is used after pope elections to announce to the people that a new pope has been chosen), is a criticism against society’s contradictions; Salvemini imagines his death and his descent to the Hell, which is eventually our world, describing a dreadful aspect of modern society in every song. It was published in 2006.
In 2008 he released his fourth album, Le dimensioni del mio caos (My chaos dimensions, which in Italian sounds pretty close to my guts sizes). This takes the form of a science-fiction story starring Caparezza as the main character. During a tribute concert to Jimi Hendrix, Caparezza destroys a guitar on an amplifer, and creates a time-space warp from which a girl from the 1960s named Ilaria shows up, and Caparezza falls in love with her. Caparezza realizes that the present time has changed because the past had been altered. The only way, is to bring back Ilaria to the time where she belongs. But Ilaria is already heavily influenced by modern society and doesn’t want to go back to 1968. In this alternative 2008, the Church rules and Caparezza is arrested because he has pockets which are forbidden (There’s jail for those who wear pockets, because in pockets there’s no control. Since then, only those who were artists, or junkies, or both, like Basquiat, wore pockets). After he is released from prison, he discovers that Ilaria has married Carneade, who is the leader of the “Somebody people Front”, a political movement reserved for VIPs. Caparezza cannot manage to take Ilaria back to 1968 and meanwhile the “Somebody people Front” is planning to build a spaceport in Apulia to gain support and popularity for the imminent elections. Caparezza visits the construction site and meets Luigi delle Bicocche, a mason who is also the protagonist of the song “Eroe-storia di Luigi delle Bicocche”, a song about the conditions of the working class and the society in Italy. Caparezza, demoralized, gives his Stratocaster and his amplifier to Luigi. Suddenly we find out that Luigi’s (gigi, for short, in Italian) real nature is being a guitar player (Gigi Hendrix); while playing in a gig, he destroys the Stratocaster on the amplifer and creates a time-space warp which brings humanity back to his origins. Humans has been turned into bonobos, a specie of great apes, whose society is based upon sharing resources and every dispute between individuals is sorted through sex.After the publishing of Habemus Capa and before releasing Le dimensioni del mio Caos, Caparezza also published a book in 2008, Saghe Mentali, a funny description of his discography, including the soon to be released Le dimensioni del mio Caos, using a different literary style for each album.

On 28 January 2011, he published the first single from the fifth album Il sogno eretico, entitled “Goodbye Malinconia”, featuring Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet. Il sogno eretico (The heretic dream) is a concept album, and the core message is a urge to the people to reject tenets and dogmas, and to use critical thinking while looking at the world around us. The songs includes historical heretic characters like Galileo Galilei, Joan of Arc, Giordano Bruno and Girolamo Savonarola whose stories are linked to topical interests, for the purpose of explaining widely known facts from a different angle. In the song La fine di Gaia Caparezza talks about end of the world prophecies (saying it won’t happen) and various conspiracy theories, while in other songs he talks about religion, politics, people’s misbehaviour and attitude towards power and money.Michele sings together with Diego Perrone, who replaced Stefano Ciannamea which is the creator, and now administrator of Caparezza’s official web site. Diego Perrone is also the lead singer in the band Medusa. Caparezza is also a member of Sunny Cola Connection, a group who sings in the Apulian dialect. He also worked with many other musicians, like the Italian rappers Puni, Piotta and Mondo Marcio and with pop musician Roy Paci & Aretuska, and with Medusa.Caparezza’s band includes Rino Corrieri (drummer), Gaetano Camporeale (keyboarder), Giovanni Astorino (bassist), and Alfredo Ferrero (guitarist).
Caparezza had a summer hit with “Fuori dal tunnel”; however, the singer has always protested against the use of the song in discos and on television, because it is meant to be a denunciation of the de–individualization of entertainment, but the agreement with his music company didn’t allow him to avoid the song being put in commercials or being used in the very same TV broadcastings which the song actually criticized. Another song on Verità Supposte is “Vengo dalla Luna”, which tells about an alien (Caparezza) knocked down to Earth who is astonished by the intolerance of humanity for a different race and culture. It is a song opposing prejudices toward immigrants. In Habemus Capa songs include “La mia parte intollerante” which again expresses the marginalization of Caparezza. In the fourth album, “Eroe” is a story of a mason who is regarded as a hero because he manages to support a family without surrendering to the temptations of loan sharks and draw poker. “Vieni a ballare in Puglia” talks about the situation in Puglia today; the “Caduti del lavoro”, the forest fires in Gargano and the air pollution in Taranto. This song, like “Fuori dal tunnel”, was misunderstood by the public who considered it a simple praise towards Apulia.

Boshia Rae-jean

Boshia Rae-jean Indie Hip-Hop Artist (Named after Polish Jazz singer Basia), also Ceo of the Feminist Brand WeInfinity, was born on October 31,1990. Boshia Grew up in Orange New Jersey, and was raised in New York. At the age of Eight Boshia’s Mother (Valerie), enrolled her in Private Clarinet Lessons. She then joined the all city band in Elementary School, but Boshia wanted to explore her vocal Instrument so her mom enrolled her in Private Vocal Lessons. She then joined the choir in Elementary school, and Boshia’s Father also owned his own Indie Label in New Jersey and New York. At the age of ten Boshia was in the studio observing the artist her father had on his Label. Boshia Proceeded to write her first song at the Age of eleven. She then found her for passion for writing music, and started to work on her craft everyday. “Writing always made me happy it allowed me to express things I couldn’t say to people.” Boshia would always Rap and Sing in the Mirror, not knowing this would be her career. She continued with her Classical Clarinet Lessons and Remained in extensive Private Music Lessons, while doing dance Recitals, and Competitions.

PIH is one of the most popular performers Polish hip hop scene. His first album „Wielka Niewiadoma” (“Great unknown”) was released in 2000 (team JedenSiedem),  gaining immense popularity and name of classic. For over 10 years of presence in the music , rapper has recorded eight albums, including five solo, and each new album met with growing interest the audience.

In December 2008 he released album   “Kwiaty Zła” ( “Flowers of Evil’)’ which turned out to be one of the most successful music carrer . “Flowers of Evil” in less than two months from the date of release achieved gold status and the rapper himself in a poll of Radio Wudoo most popular rap and hip-Hop.pl portal is for the character in the Polish hip-hop. PIH in 2009, he played several concerts with the material of,, Flowers of Evil”, among other things, such as a grand festival Hip Hop Kemp , Hip Hop Festival Masuria Giżycko 2009 and  2nd Rap Game.

Here’s what he said about his rap album:
“Flowers of Evil” is the magnum opus of my work, the board was working on the longest and most carefully. From both the lyrical and musical is not the place for the cases, is a concept album. “

PIH  goes on tour to promote his  new project entitled „Dowód Rzeczowy nr 1” (“Exhibit No. 1.)” Rapper in the first months of 2010,  played on many concerts and events with  members of Białystok group Fabuła .The tickets have been sold out for a few days before the event. During these performances PIH unveiled new songs, which led to spontaneous reactions of the audience. All indications are that “Exhibit 1″ repeated the success of “Flowers of Evil”.
